IBSCA is an official association of the International Baccalaureate and an authorised provider of IB workshops. Our workshops are delivered by highly trained and experienced IB Workshop Leaders in professional settings in both our virtual and in-person formats. Delegates are supported through their training journey by our client services team who are on hand to answer questions and address concerns. Workshop Focus:

How can we support student inquiry?

Students’ own curiosity provides the most effective provocation for learning that is engaging, relevant, challenging and significant.

  • Investigate how using an inquiry-based pedagogy has the capacity to lead students to a deeper understanding of concepts through the construction of new knowledge.

  • Inquire into specific strategies and questions relating to an inquiry-based approach to teaching and learning.

  • Discover how the reflective process is an essential component in becoming a life-long learner.

  • Courses delivered by approved and experienced IB workshop leaders

  • 12 hours of live / real-time instruction plus 3 hours of asynchronous / offline work across three-days. Delegates are required to attend and participate in all scheduled sessions in order to receive their IB certificate.

  • Bespoke online learning platform featuring a virtual learning environment with video conferencing and topic-specific communities for sharing resources, continuing discussions and maintaining contacts for up to two-weeks after the conclusion of your workshop

  • Opportunities to mix with participants from a range of schools, both within the UK and internationally

Please note that all sessions are live and will be delivered on the above dates and following UK timings – please bear this in mind when applying from outside of the UK and take into account time differences. You will not be eligible for an attendance certificate unless you attend all the live sessions.

Experienced Primary Years Programme (PYP) teachers, coordinators and school leaders.

Workshop Focus:

This workshop engages you in an inquiry into the varied purposes and practices of your exhibition. Develop your understanding of the agentic role students have in leading and taking action on their learning. Explore, create and share a range of tools and strategies which help optimize the experience for students in the PYP and that set the scene for a collaborative inquiry into issues of local, national and global significance.
