Open to educators from IBSCA member schools, our free Seminar series provides an in-depth look at some of the key topics and challenges facing our IB community.
This Seminar will focus on skill development and practical strategies for the effective development of Creativity, Activity, Service in the Diploma Programme. The Seminar is open to all educators interested in further developing their understanding and skills.
This Seminar will address:
Review of the CAS Basics.
Great CAS Experience Ideas.
Great CAS Project Ideas.
Moving from chief nagger to supporter.
Building best practice reflection.
Engaging students in the interview process.
Building a CAS team.
Finishing strongly.
Seminar Details:
3-hour seminar delivered virtually making access easy and convenient.
Led by an experienced IB educator who is part of the IBEN network.
Limited to one registration per IBSCA member school. There are a limited number of spaces available, if sufficient interest is expressed a second date may be opened or additional spaces added.
Offered free as a benefit of IBSCA membership.

This seminar will be led by experienced IB educator Tom Brodie. Tom has been an International Educator since 2002 and a member of the IB Educator Network since 2015. He has held many jobs in international education including teacher, director, examiner, workshop leader, writer and presenter. But most importantly CAS Coordinator. He has worked in America, Switzerland, The UK, and Norway. He has published academic research on CAS and co-authored the only current textbook. He currently splits his time between education and adventure and lives in the Swiss Alps.
