Open to educators from IBSCA member schools, our free Seminar series provides an in-depth look at some of the key topics and challenges facing our IB community.
The Seminar is open to IB educators responsible for Extended Essay supervision in their school. The Seminar will focus on the new EE guide, specifically changes to be aware of moving forward. We welcome participation from IB educators with previous experience in EE supervision.

Seminar Description:
This Seminar will focus on the changes Extended Essay supervisors will see in the new guide and corresponding implications for EE supervision. Further details of the seminar will be available at the start of 2025; however, you can register now to secure your place.

Led by an experienced IB educator who is part of the IBEN network.
Limited to one registration per IBSCA member school. There are a limited number of spaces available, if sufficient interest is expressed a second date may be opened or additional spaces added.

The Supervising the Extended Essay Seminar will be led by Alex Green. After completing an undergraduate degree in Philosophy, Alex trained as a teacher and initially worked in London. Alex moved to a school to lead Philosophy, Religious Studies and TOK for one of the largest IB DP cohorts in the Europe, Africa and Middle East region. He has a range of roles with the IB including, workshop leading, site visiting, curriculum review team member and is highly experienced in assessment. He is currently the Deputy Head of an International School in Italy. He has supervised over 150 Extended Essays and his Extended Essay students all achieved A-grades in 2024.
