Open to educators from IBSCA member schools, our free Seminar series provides an in-depth look at some of the key topics and challenges facing our IB community.
This Seminar will focus on skill development and practical strategies for the effective delivery of Spanish B. The Seminar is open to all educators interested in further developing their understanding and skills.
This Seminar will enable you to:
Develop a course plan that balances the five themes over DP1 and DP2.
Create and implement classroom activities to promote the four skills.
Utilise tips and tricks for exam preparation. In particular, how to embed idiomatic expressions in language production, the ‘cultural’ element in the SL oral, and ways to promote self-reflection in students.

3-hour seminar delivered virtually making access easy and convenient.
Led by an experienced IB educator who is part of the IBEN network.
Limited to one registration per IBSCA member school. There are a limited number of spaces available, if sufficient interest is expressed a second date may be opened or additional spaces added.

This seminar will be led by experienced IB educator Candia Grasso. Candia is an experienced member of the IBEN network where she has led IB authorised workshops for DP Language B (Cat 1, 2, 3) as well as MYP Language Acquisition (Cat 1, 2, 3), among others. She has taught languages in a number of school contexts internationally and within the UK including MYP and DP language instruction for Spanish and French. Candia is a DP Spanish Assistant Examiner for the International Baccalaureate.
