Leading schools within the IB ecosystem (IBSCA members)

Open to educators from IBSCA member schools, our free Seminar series provides an in-depth look at some of the key topics and challenges facing our IB community.

This seminar draws on the key themes behind the IB suite of leadership workshops and IB workshops that support schools as they prepare for evaluation. It will address some of the key challenges of school leadership, providing delegates with practical strategies and tools they can apply in their schools.


This Seminar will address:

  • How deeply ingrained is 'learning' in the very fabric of our schools - not only within classrooms, but also the staff room and the board room?

  • How do we translate a personal leadership vision into a shared vision that galvanizes the whole school organization and all its stakeholders?

  • How do leaders effectively sustain and nurture teams to maximize team learning resulting in positive outcomes throughout the IB World School.

Seminar Details:

  • 3-hour seminar delivered virtually making access easy and convenient.

  • Led by an experienced IB educator who is part of the IBEN network.

  • Limited to one registration per IBSCA member school. There are a limited number of spaces available, if sufficient interest is expressed a second date may be opened or additional spaces added.

  • Offered free as a benefit of IBSCA membership.

Led By:

This seminar will be led by experienced IB educator Chris Wright. Chris is an experienced educational leader: head of three schools, an educational researcher and teacher trainer in a university, and currently working at a school system level as Director of Education. The past twenty years have been dedicated to nurturing leadership capacity in schools. His work with school leaders is focused on the impact they have on student learning in their role as steward (of the school’s vision and mission), designer (of the school’s strategies and ‘systems’), and teacher (as they foster learning for everyone). Chris has worked in multiple roles with the IB: Head of School, Lead Educator, workshop developer, and IB trainer for IB evaluation Chairs, programme, and evaluation leaders. He is the author of the InThinking IB School Leaders website.
