Approaches to Teaching In-Depth Seminar 2 (IBSCA members)

Open to educators from IBSCA member schools, our free Seminar series provides an in-depth look at some of the key topics and challenges facing our IB community.

The Seminar is open to experienced IB educators who are interested in deepening their understanding and application of ATLs. We are offering two ATL Seminars this academic year, each focused on different ATLs and how to improve your practice. Please note the Seminar will be delivered by an IB educator experienced in the DP or CP, so examples wil draw heavily from these programmes, though the Seminar is open to IB educators from the MYP and PYP as well.

Seminar Description:

In the second of two seminars, we will focus on:

* Collaboration and Teamwork - opportunities and practices to support the development of collaboration and teamwork

* Removing Barriers to learning - ways to make learning more accessible to all students

* Local and global contexts - methods and opportunities to enhance student learning by linking it to local and global contexts

Who is this for? These seminars are created for experienced IB educators with a sound understanding of Approaches to Teaching looking to develop their practice further.

Seminar Details:

  • 3-hour seminar delivered virtually making access easy and convenient.

  • Led by an experienced IB educator who is part of the IBEN network.

  • Limited to one registration per IBSCA member school. There are a limited number of spaces available, if sufficient interest is expressed a second date may be opened or additional spaces added.

  • Offered free as a benefit of IBSCA membership.

The Approaches to Learning Seminar will be led by Natalie Lockhart-Mann. Natalie has worked in IB schools in many parts of the world, delivering all aspects of IB programmes, from CAS to TOK to IB coordination. She has been a Coordinator since 2016, and is now based in the UK, where she teaches English Literature and TOK, coordinates the IB programme in her school and occasionally finds time to run IB workshops. She loves working with new and experienced IB teachers and wishes she had more time to deliver workshops!

Please note you will need to select your required Seminar from a dropdown list on the registration form
